PLAY THERAPY

Play Therapy a therapy modality designed especially for children which uses the natural activity of play to communicate the child's experiences, feelings, worries and beliefs to a trained play therapist. Children do not have the insight or vocabulary to directly verbalize their feelings or experiences as adults do.  Playing is an essential part of children's cognitive development and emotional well being.

Children as young as 3 years old to 12 years old can be helped by Play Therapy

When is Play Therapy Used?

All children have problematic or difficult behaviors at times.  Parents or caretakers usually get concerned when a child exhibits difficult or unusual behavior for a long time or the behaviors begin to negatively impact the child at school, home or daycare.
